About Us

Gospel Fire Network (GFN) is a Pentecostal-Holiness broadcasting organization.  GFN’s founder is James W. Spight Jr., D. Min. He is an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ. He has worked in studio production since his days at the University of Memphis. Starting at Bethel Temple COGIC under Dr. Jonathan Rodgers, he began working with professional audio equipment with Bethel Temple in the church, in Studios and the tent revivals that the church had. He then began recording local gospel artists in his home studio. He has worked with Dino Bradley, a guitar player with the Oak Ridge Boys in his studio in Nashville, TN. He has worked with Larry Nix of Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN. While working as a successful audio engineer, Elder Spight would soon be shocked to learn that his course of focus was about to change drastically.

Bishop Samuel Green, a member of the General Board in the Church of God in Christ in April 2015, asked Elder Spight if he had ever considered video production. He said no, ‘I’m an audio engineer. I don’t know anything about video cameras.” Bishop Green said that video cameras are going to be used in the future of our church. He said, “If you know how to edit audio tracks, you can do the same in video. The Lord is calling you to video production for the kingdom of God. I want you to start a Facebook group for all members of the Church of God in Christ to get you started in your calling young man. Obeying the calling on his life, Elder Spight created  Church of God in Christ News group on Facebook. It is currently a successful Facebook group carrying Gospel news across people’s phones and computers around the world. Thus Gospel Fire Network was born in 2015.

Bishop David Allen Hall approached Elder Spight shortly after Facebook started streaming videos, asking Elder Spight to help the church stream on Facebook. This began a new multimedia outreach where people are currently being saved, healed, and delivered by the power of Christ on the church’s Facebook page. Elder Spight began to install many streaming video platforms, including Bishop Kendall Anderson the pastor of Homeland COGIC, and the Memphis Slim House, to name a few. Now GFN is producing a multimedia site on the internet to where more people will be able to be touched by the gospel of Jesus Christ around the globe. This is the first stage in building a television network for the kingdom of God. God is using this ministry and providing for it along the way. Using the motivation of this slogan”Whatever your problem is Jesus is the answer!!!”
