What is Smokefree 901

Smokefree 901 is in partnership with the GFN and partners Coalition. The purpose of Smokefree 901 is to create a smokefree work environment for musicians and hospitality workers in Memphis. Pastor James Spight is an audio and video engineer for Gospel groups working in the industry for more than 30 years.

Pastor Spight is the pastor of Gospel Fire COGIC. He is a member of Tennessee Headquaters Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. He said the following statement, “I prefer mixing musicians’ shows in smoke free venues. I don’t participate were people are smoking because it creates an unhealthy atmosphere for musicians and their fans. Smokefree venues are a win for business owners because more costumers can access the venues. And, it is a win for employees so that they will not be exposed to secondhand smoke.” To join Smokefree 901, press the button below this article.
